New Member Mission Download

Team Taekwondo is a registered

Team Taekwondo is not just about teaching people how to defend themselves or learning how to punch and kick ,

It's about creating "Champions for Life"

Each week the junior students are given character building missions to complete.

The missions are great fun and the students are rewarded with "Champion for Life" wrist bands once completed.

As well as the wrist bands, students are acknowledged for their determination, concentration and dedication

in each class by receiving hand written postcards by their instructors in the mail.

Training Schedule

Team Taekwondo's training schedule is mapped out 3 months ahead to facilitate maximum learning potential for its members.

This also ensures that trainings remain dynamic and different from session to session.

Stripes for Belts

See Stripes for Belts for full explanation

Computer Log in

Team Taekwondo has introduced a computer based student "log in" system at the dojang.

The software program has been written specifically for a martial arts club and gives

valuable feedback to the members.

The computer "log in" program is designed to deliver a more realistic expectation to the student for grading eligibility as it is linked to the frequency of training, rather than the grading period. Some students are training up to 60 times per term and others only 12, or even less. It's unrealistic to expect the same results from everyone in the same time frame. The "attendance program" will help to create a proper perspective relative to training frequency.

Note: Regardless of attendance frequency it is the "stripes for belts" program that determines grading eligibility.

Below is the recommended training frequency for the average student

to reach their grading with relative ease.

Of course some students may require more and some less.

White Belts                        x15

Yellow and Blue Belts      x20

Red Belts                           x30

Cho Dan Bo's                    x40

Fundraising

Team Taekwondo has a number of ways of raising funds and creating benefits for its members including trophy sponsorship, business sponsorship, the Team Tournament, and a variety of other fundraising activities throughout the year.

If you are interested in helping out or advertising your business, please click here for more information or see David at training.

Please note: All funds raised are held in the Team Taekwondo Fundraising account. Cheques from this account need to be signed by both David Vernon and the treasurer. All money raised comes back to the members. In no way does Fat Frog Pty. Ltd. Trading as Team Taekwondo profit from any funds raised.

Grading Requirements

Team Taekwondo gradings are held 4 times a year, toward the end of each school term.

To be eligible to grade members must first collect all of their relevant coloured stripes pertaining to the skills they have acquired.

Prior to the grading, the grading advice will be made available on the website. This grading advice must be followed correctly including handing in all relevant and completed material, along with the payment, by the due date. No grading applications can be accepted after the due date.

Applicants will be tested on the verbal terminology at the time of handing in their completed grading application. The written terminology requirements need not be completed for applicants 6 years and under.

Little Ninjas:

Little Ninjas, although having stripes awarded to them during the term, do not grade. When a Little Ninja consistently shows a maturity for grading throughout the term, they will be offered a position in the white belt junior class and grade from that class.
