Hi David,

Here is a cute photo for you.
Team Taekwondo is the BEST thing in Ben's life ! !
This photo was taken on the day he turned TEN !  WOW  !

Thanks David,

From Carol Giebeler  :)  :)

Thanks so much for organising it (team tournament) David and Erin.

Great confidence building for the kids.  Would have loved to have stayed the whole day and watched the other events but the boys had a good little introduction into the world of tournaments.

It was good for them to watch the higher belts too and to see how interesting their poomsae were.

Hope you had fun!

Jodi

Dear David

I have been meaning to drop you a line for a while now just to let you know how thankful Adam and I for James’ involvement in Team TKD.

I think it is a real testament to you and Erin that the club has such a great group of members all with the same approach – to give it your best and to enjoy it at the same time.

Seeing my 11 year old son train with the seniors a few years ago could have been rather stressful, but it was probably the best thing for James. The reason it was so positive was because of the calibre of the seniors he trains with. I could say that you are fortunate to have attracted such a good bunch of seniors, particularly the men, but the reality is that it has more to do with the standards and expectations that you set as the leader.

Knowing that your teenage son has some excellent male role models outside his family group is a real bonus.

James would be mortified if he knew I sent this, but Adam and I were only speaking the other day of the positive influence Team TKD has had on James.

Will see you at Wet and Wild

 Cheers

 Liza

Good morning David,
I would just like to say a big thank you to yourself and Erin for all the hard work you put
into teaching our children. Harry just loves coming to class every week and is so excited
still about receiving his yellow belt. He has show and tell today and of course he has taken
his yellow belt and grading book to talk about. Could I please book Harry into the bully
defence course if possible as he would love to go to it. Thank you again for helping
Harry to have some confidence and making his time at taekwondo so very happy.
Have a good day,
Yvette

Hi David and Erin,

I just wanted to send you this to let you know what a great job you all do. Being the first grading I have been to it was run so professionally and was so proud of all of the kids. We wanted to say a special thank you for Ella's trophie it was such a great surprise. She (as well as Mum) was nervous on Sunday morning going to grading. She absolutely loves the sport and does hope to be a black belt one day and with your guidance she, as you say can do anything....
Kind regards
Belinda Silvestri

hi david, as a spectator, yesterday was awesome!!! it was a very exciting experience for me, my hands were sore by the end of the day! i'm glad you took part because watching you was a highlight and it was also good for the kids to watch a black master in action. samara was in awe of you and has set her sights to be like you!

samara was so nervous in the morning, so much so that she didn't want to have breakfast, i couldn't even tempt her with mcdonalds! even though she didn't want to participate she did it for me, what a trooper!

but after her ind poomse, she was stoked, said she really enjoyed herself and was very happy to come back for the jump kick...and wasn't she impressive?? i've never seen her kick so high before! she was very proud of herself and i'm very proud of my little girl. she took her medals to school today for show and tell.

Thanks to David & Erin for putting on a great tournament! The girls & I had a lot of fun! Calvin.

David & Erin

Congratulations on a fabulous day, the tournament was a pleasure to watch. I love the way Team Tkd inspires confidence in each member. The confidence and character building in some of the younger members that have started with you from a young age is a credit to you.
Cheers, Sue.

Dear David and Erin, We would like to thank you for being so dedicated in teaching our children a life time skill. Both Macy and Zali thoroughly enjoy the challenge every lesson and look forward to attending all classes. Also thank you for all the opportunities and events you organize for all Team Taekwondo students, Zali enjoyed bulking up her bank account. Keep up the good work. The Ferraro Family

Dear David and Erin,

Just a quick thank you again for a wonderful day that was organized by yourselves at WetnWild…the Calabro family all had a fantastic day.

We have been really impressed since the children joined back in Aug this year.  Your dedication is amazing and a true credit to you both.

Thanks again for all your efforts…the kids are having a great time also.

Regards

Lucy calabro

Having been a Team Tae Kwon Do parent of 3 children for a few years, I was most impressed with the development of my children as they progressed through to their current rankings. I have seen a marked increase in their physical fitness, self-confidence and also their self-control. All my children are part of a supportive, participative and encouraging environment where they are not afraid to make an attempt, regardless of whether they will succeed or fail. At the beginning of 2009, I decided that I would join my youngest 3 children on their Tae Kwon Do ‘journey’. On starting I didn’t know whether it would be a long term interest or just another flash in the pan as most of my previous interests have proven to be. Tae Kwon Do, or more specifically Team Tae Kwon Do, has become a true passion for me and one which I hope to continue with for many years to come with the ambition of attaining my black belt. Since I joined, my fourth child has also started at team Tae Kwon Do and is also thoroughly enjoying it too. It is true that that there is no ‘I’ in Team, however there is definitely a family in Team Tae Kwon Do.

Hi David

Just wanted to compliment you on a great Little Ninja's class this afternoon. Harry loved the class today and can't wait for next weeks class.
He loved the sparring, using the big bags and having you as his teacher.

Regards

Jamie Bird

Hi there David,

It shows what a fantastic job you are doing ...the standard of grading the yellow belt 3 - blue belt kids demonstrated on Sunday was very impressive.

Jack loves your classes and has gained so much more confidence during the last 6 months in his abilities. Thankyou for getting him there!

I joined Team Taekwondo just over a year ago. My daughter had been a member
for a couple of years and it had been such a positive experience for her (she is now a black belt)
that she persuaded me to join. As I had never done any sport before, this was quite scary but I
now have much more confidence in myself and my abilities. I have gained my blue belt but more
than that my fitness, co-ordination and balance have all improved and for anyone who wants to
improve their mental sharpness this an excellent way to do it. David, his instructors and the
members of the club are all very friendly and supportive and I thank them most sincerely.

In September 2007 my son Liam asked to do Taekwondo. Through a friend we were recommended to Team Taekwondo. After his trial lesson 'he was hooked'. Not long after my daughter, Chloe also joined the Team and immediately found her niche in Poomse. I am most impressed by David's (Head Instructor) ability to control a great number of children, give them a great lesson and keep a huge level of respect - a talent which I wish I could master at home! A month later myself and my Husband all joined in. It is great being involved in the same sport as your children, we all practice together and help each other with gradings.

Chloe and Liam have been involved in competitions with numerous gold, silver and bronze medals in their collection already and are going to compete at the Nationals in Sydney. To see your children have this experience so quickly after starting the sport is fantastic and has done wonders for their self-confidence. They are aiming for the Olympics !

Together we all have increased our fitness and flexibility. Liam who suffers from ADHD has learnt a great deal of self control and discipline through Taekwondo.

Team Taekwondo has opened a whole new source of friendships and has a great family atmosphere. You don't have to be a great athlete to do Taekwondo -anyone can do it! With hard work and determination David can help you through all your gradings. I didn't think I could do it, and I am already a blue belt after only 8 months of training! Give it a go - you wont regret it!

Hey David.

Joining Team Taekwondo in September 2006 with my friend Amy was possibly one of the best things I have ever decided to do.
Here is of some of the things I’ve gotten out of TKD.
→ I’ve met some great new friends of all ages
→ Increased fitness/flexibility that also helps with the various other sports I do
→ Many social opportunities such as the Wet’n’Wild breakup last year
→ Leadership opportunities
→ I’m now able to speak a tiny bit of Korean
Amy and I are now Red belts and will hopefully get our black belts in June 2009.
One of the things I enjoy about coming is the atmosphere of the place, there’s people of all ages and abilities that can join together to become this force to be reckoned with.
With the way it’s looking now Team Taekwondo is just going to get bigger and better and I’m ecstatic to be a part of it.

Bec Watts.

Hi David, my daughter Laura Goudie does Taekwondo with you (graded to yellow belt on the 29th - very proud!).

Thank you for all your work with Laura, she has benefited from your classes in so many ways.

Rosita

I joined Team Taekwondo about 18 months with the intention of increasing my fitness and learning a bit of self defence.  I've definitely come a long way since then, but in more ways than I initially expected.

Having trained with two other Taekwondo clubs, at Team Taekwondo I have discovered new aspects of Taekwondo I had not experienced before, primarily tournament sparring.  Furthermore, Team Taekwondo has a true family feel within the club, which is evident at training, gradings, tournaments and social events.

I am confident I will grade to my black belt and beyond at Team Taekwondo, knowing I will be able to draw on my experiences at the club well into the future.

Earlier this year I went on a surfing trip to Papua New Guinea with a group of fellow surfers. It was a trip we had planned for two years prior. Because of our busy schedule with work and family ( and I'm sure all parents can relate to this ) over the last couple of years I let my fitness lapse and my weight increased. I needed to increase my flexibility, fitness and decrease my weight. I saw what the kids were getting out of TKD, so I joined up last year.

The short six months of training with you before my trip, allowed me to drop 4kgs in weight and increase my flexibility and fitness so I was definitely more prepared for our epic surf adventure. Some days we surfed up to 6 hours and we surfed most days out of  9. Although I was definitely sore and stiff I recovered fairly quickly before the next surf session, all of which I put down to my TKD training. ( refer photos attached ).
As a family we are now getting a lot more out of TKD than just fitness, we have a common interest and have met new people and formed new friendships.

John Howard
