Hi there David,

It shows what a fantastic job you are doing ...the standard of grading the yellow belt 3 - blue belt kids demonstrated on Sunday was very impressive.

Jack loves your classes and has gained so much more confidence during the last 6 months in his abilities. Thankyou for getting him there!

Hi David,

Just a short note to thank you for today.  Zac was over the moon about gaining his yellow belt this morning.  It has been the topic of conversation all day so it has obviously meant a lot to him!

I joined Team Taekwondo just over a year ago. My daughter had been a member
for a couple of years and it had been such a positive experience for her (she is now a black belt)
that she persuaded me to join. As I had never done any sport before, this was quite scary but I
now have much more confidence in myself and my abilities. I have gained my blue belt but more
than that my fitness, co-ordination and balance have all improved and for anyone who wants to
improve their mental sharpness this an excellent way to do it. David, his instructors and the
members of the club are all very friendly and supportive and I thank them most sincerely.

In September 2007 my son Liam asked to do Taekwondo. Through a friend we were recommended to Team Taekwondo. After his trial lesson 'he was hooked'. Not long after my daughter, Chloe also joined the Team and immediately found her niche in Poomse. I am most impressed by David's (Head Instructor) ability to control a great number of children, give them a great lesson and keep a huge level of respect - a talent which I wish I could master at home! A month later myself and my Husband all joined in. It is great being involved in the same sport as your children, we all practice together and help each other with gradings.

Chloe and Liam have been involved in competitions with numerous gold, silver and bronze medals in their collection already and are going to compete at the Nationals in Sydney. To see your children have this experience so quickly after starting the sport is fantastic and has done wonders for their self-confidence. They are aiming for the Olympics !

Together we all have increased our fitness and flexibility. Liam who suffers from ADHD has learnt a great deal of self control and discipline through Taekwondo.

Team Taekwondo has opened a whole new source of friendships and has a great family atmosphere. You don't have to be a great athlete to do Taekwondo -anyone can do it! With hard work and determination David can help you through all your gradings. I didn't think I could do it, and I am already a blue belt after only 8 months of training! Give it a go - you wont regret it!

Hey David.

Joining Team Taekwondo in September 2006 with my friend Amy was possibly one of the best things I have ever decided to do.
Here is of some of the things I’ve gotten out of TKD.
→ I’ve met some great new friends of all ages
→ Increased fitness/flexibility that also helps with the various other sports I do
→ Many social opportunities such as the Wet’n’Wild breakup last year
→ Leadership opportunities
→ I’m now able to speak a tiny bit of Korean
Amy and I are now Red belts and will hopefully get our black belts in June 2009.
One of the things I enjoy about coming is the atmosphere of the place, there’s people of all ages and abilities that can join together to become this force to be reckoned with.
With the way it’s looking now Team Taekwondo is just going to get bigger and better and I’m ecstatic to be a part of it.

Hi David, my daughter Laura Goudie does Taekwondo with you (graded to yellow belt on the 29th - very proud!).

Thank you for all your work with Laura, she has benefited from your classes in so many ways.

I joined Team Taekwondo about 18 months with the intention of increasing my fitness and learning a bit of self defence.  I've definitely come a long way since then, but in more ways than I initially expected.

Having trained with two other Taekwondo clubs, at Team Taekwondo I have discovered new aspects of Taekwondo I had not experienced before, primarily tournament sparring.  Furthermore, Team Taekwondo has a true family feel within the club, which is evident at training, gradings, tournaments and social events.

I am confident I will grade to my black belt and beyond at Team Taekwondo, knowing I will be able to draw on my experiences at the club well into the future.

Earlier this year I went on a surfing trip to Papua New Guinea with a group of fellow surfers. It was a trip we had planned for two years prior. Because of our busy schedule with work and family ( and I'm sure all parents can relate to this ) over the last couple of years I let my fitness lapse and my weight increased. I needed to increase my flexibility, fitness and decrease my weight. I saw what the kids were getting out of TKD, so I joined up last year.

The short six months of training with you before my trip, allowed me to drop 4kgs in weight and increase my flexibility and fitness so I was definitely more prepared for our epic surf adventure. Some days we surfed up to 6 hours and we surfed most days out of  9. Although I was definitely sore and stiff I recovered fairly quickly before the next surf session, all of which I put down to my TKD training. ( refer photos attached ).
As a family we are now getting a lot more out of TKD than just fitness, we have a common interest and have met new people and formed new friendships.

John Howard
